1. Namibia’s President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, embarked on a landmark diplomatic tour across Southern Africa in May 2025, visiting Angola, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, and Tanzania.
This tour underscored her commitment to deepening regional ties within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and advancing economic cooperation through joint infrastructure programs, trade facilitation, and energy partnerships.

4. The Standing Committee on Health, Social Welfare, and Labor Affairs of the National Council has released a report on the impact of the Basic Income Grant pilot project from 2008/2009. The report indicates that poverty levels significantly decreased after the implementation of the Basic Income Grant.
