The 6th annual gala dinner in support of the upcoming Nkurenkuru Expo, held last weekend in Kavango West, raised over N$524,450.00, more than double the amount raised during last year’s fundraiser.
The Nkurenkuru Town Council hosted the dinner to generate funds for this year’s expo, set to take place from 27 June to 6 July 2025.
In 2024, the gala dinner raised just over N$200,000. This year’s success reflects stronger support and growing interest in the event.
ReconAfrica, the main sponsor, pledged N$100,000 towards the hosting of the expo.
Additionally, Namport committed to fully completing the expo hall at an estimated cost of N$527,000
