On this edition of Life Lessons, we reached out to Yvonne Shaanika – Nkalle who started off her journey at the Polytechnic of Namibia as a student now NUST, her passion for mathematics, made her academics stand out which led her to tutoring and thereafter a Junior lecturer and now a mathematics lecturer at Nust for a period of 13 year both as part time and full time.

To draw inspiration from her we asked where does her passion for mathematics steamed from, a subject dread by many and advice she has for mathematics students and what Namibia needs to do to decrease the failure rate of this subject.
