BaseCamp Business Incubator, a social startup enterprise, has successfully facilitated funding for 40 Namibian startups in 2023, enabling them to scale up their businesses.
The entity has provided platforms for some of the best startups they have assessed to be accelerated by raising N$50 Million Investment in start-up support from local angel investors, banks, and venture capital firms.
This achievement is highlighted in the BaseCamp Business Incubator 2023 Impact Report released earlier this month.
According to the report, the funding provided to the 40 startups has significantly strengthened their ability to scale their businesses from the startup phase to different stages of development.
As these startups grow, they also create more employment opportunities, as expansion is typically associated with increased demand for human capital and machinery to support growing production.
