The tourism sector is poised to be a standout performer in Namibia’s economy in 2024, according to analysts.
This optimistic outlook is bolstered by key events like the Africa Hospitality Investment Forum (AHIF) and the upcoming AviaDev Africa event.
Scheduled for June in Windhoek, the AviaDev Africa event has already attracted registration from 26 airlines, signalling substantial interest and potential economic impact, particularly in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
Furthermore, the Hospitality Association of Namibia (HAN) notes that January traditionally marks the start of the tourism low season in the country.
“The observed increase in visitors during this usually slower period is a positive sign that Namibia’s tourism industry is gradually overcoming its seasonal fluctuations,” remarked analysts at Simonis Storm Securities (SSS).
