Estonian ride-hailing behemoth, Bolt, has launched a pilot project service in Namibia, with plans to onboard over 200 drivers. The company has declared a commission-free period for the initial six months.

This expansion is a strategic move as part of Bolt’s commitment to invest €500mn (N$10.2 billion) in enhancing its operations across Africa within the next two years.

The company anticipates welcoming around 300,000 new drivers and couriers onto its platform by 2023.

The move is expected to intensify the competition in the ride-hailing sector in Namibia, as Bolt aims to provide convenient, reliable, and cost-effective transportation solutions tailored to the needs of individuals and businesses alike.
