Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) is making significant strides in enhancing its energy efficiency with the installation of over 75 energy metres.

These metres enable real-time monitoring and targeted data analysis of electricity consumption, aligning with the company’s ambitious goal to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2030.

The transition to renewable energy is not only driving efficiency improvements in NBL’s operations but also setting the stage for future advancements.

As part of its sustainable manufacturing endeavours, NBL installed two rooftop solar plants in 2013 and 2023, contributing a notable 22% to the company’s total electricity requirements.

In line with its commitment to combat climate change, NBL aims to attain zero emissions across its operations by 2030, a target that precedes the climate goals outlined in the Paris Agreement by a decade.
