Residents of Ruacana, have expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of water supplied by the town council.

Complaints arose during a recent interview with Eagle FM, revealing that since November 2023, residents have been forced to consume salty borehole water.

The discontent among residents stems from a lack of communication regarding the shift in the town’s water supply system, transitioning from Namwater to underground water sources prone to salinity issues.

Access to quality water is paramount for both human health and economic well-being, making the provision of fresh water a critical concern.
