Former Vice President Nangolo Mbumba who was sworn in yesterday as Namibia’s new President following the passing of President Hage Geingob on Sunday, has vowed to continue the legacy of his predecessor and navigate the nation through the current challenges.

Geingob, 82, died early on Sunday while receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Windhoek, about a month after he revealed that he had been diagnosed with cancer.

Mbumba, also 82, will take charge of the country until November when the country is set to hold the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
