The Ministry of Agriculture has put forth a proposal to the Public Services Commission for the establishment of a new, permanent structure to oversee the Green Scheme Projects.
It is anticipated that this proposed structure will receive approval by the end of this month.
Minister of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform (MAWLR), Calle Schlewttwein, disclosed this information during a parliamentary session last week in response to a query from Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) Policymaker, Van Den Heever.
The question sought updates on the status of Agribusdev, which the government had recently disbanded, particularly concerning the assimilation of its employees into the ministry.
Schletwein stated that the initial plan was to integrate the 32 Agribusdev employees into the existing structures of the Agriculture Ministry.
