There is some disheartening reasoning especially by those who are fighting for their human rights to be recognised. Those who shout loudest at the slightest suspicion of oppression.
How does it work that while you want to appear to be the champions of democracy, you are also the same people who seek to silence others?
We have heard about some groups within the society shouting loudest about freedom of expression and when others exercise this, the same section of the society shout loudest to drown the voices of others.
The headline for Big Lips on Friday about the land losing virginity was misunderstood by the very people who should understand better.
To begin with, Big Lips did not talk about sex but about the dangerously degraded land because of sand mining. I expected churches to raise an issue but never did I expect the members of LGBTQI to be so concerned and make it a big issue.
